Job Brief

We are looking for an empathetic veterinarian adept in pet treatment and preventive medicine. The practice includes quadrupeds, pet reptiles, and aviaries. You will collaborate with team members to uphold ethical practices and medical standards and share veterinary knowledge. You will work together with clients to select the best treatment solutions for individual patients, using state-of-the-art pharmaceuticals, materials, equipment, and personal attention to the pets and their owners.

To be successful in this position, you need to collaborate effectively with clients to create tailor-made health solutions for pets. Preferred candidates are organized, well-informed, empathetic, and highly emotional intelligence. Page 2 of 2

Responsibilities

● Assessment, examination, and diagnostics.

● Performing diagnostic imaging and ultrasound tests.

● Performing surgery, dressing and treating wounds, and prescribing medication.

● Promoting preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and educating clients on positive diet and lifestyle choices for pets.

● Improving patients’ dental health by performing checkups and cleaning and extracting teeth.

● Euthanizing patients.

● Ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.

● Maintaining patients’ medical records.

● Maintaining and promoting an aesthetic and hygienic workplace.

Requirements

● Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and Master of Science (MS) degree in Surgery.

● Appropriate Practitioner license and one to two (1-2) years of clinical experience in surgery.

● Strong affinity for animals.

● Ability to make prudent decisions regarding the welfare and well-being of animals.

● Outstanding communication skills. Proficiency in both Bengali and English will be an asset.

● Excellent people skills.

● Outstanding organizational skills.

● Undeterred by being scratched, bitten, or exposed to infectious diseases and resilient to noise.

● Available to work extended hours as required.
