Provide livestock with a well-balanced diet that meets their nutritional needs. This may include a combination of hay, grains, and supplements. The amount and type of feed may vary depending on the animal’s age, weight, and activity level.
Livestock should have access to a clean, dry, and comfortable shelter that protects them from the elements.
The shelter should be well-ventilated and large enough to accommodate the animals comfortably.
Provide disease prevention practices to protect herd health, including access to veterinary medical care.
Livestock should have access to regular exercise and pasture time to maintain their physical and mental health.
Provide facilities that allow safe, humane, and efficient movement and/or restraint of cattle.
Livestock should be kept clean and free from parasites and diseases.
Provide personnel with training/experience to properly handle and care for cattle.
Make timely observations of cattle to ensure basic needs are being met.
Minimize stress when transporting cattle.
Providing proper Antibiotics when necessary which is suggested by the vet.
Ultrasound for detecting internal injuries & pregnancy.
